O, sige na nga, aminin natin di lahat under Duterte adminstration ay may maitim na budhi.
There are a few good men and women, kapusong totoo at kapamilya na may damdaming bayan din sa Duterte government.
Isa doon na naging idol natin ngayon ay si Customs lawyer Mandy Anderson.
Napahanga niya tayo hindi lang dahil sa kanyang kagandahan at talino kundi sa kanyang katapangan din.
Maski nasa poder siya ni Duterte, Atty Anderson remains very vocal in calling out the lapses committed by the men/women and supporters of the president.
To recall, last June 16, Atty Anderson branded Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez an “imbecile” online for his posturing when he threatened to close down the Court of Appeals for allegedly meddling in the issue of the so-called “Ilocos Six”.
In the words of Atty. Mel Sta. Maria, dean of FEU-Institute of Law, we owed gratitude to Atty. Anderson “for her courage in bringing further into the consciousness of the citizenry the kind of attitude politicians manifest in the exercise of their powers.”
Remember, sa ikakaunland ng bayan, what we need ay maging vigilant (and not vigilante killing supporters).
Ito ang sabi ni Atty. Anderson online:
“Just a short rant on what’s been happening lately. Pasensya na po sa taglish. Lisod ning dili ta fluent sa tagalog pero proud bisaya ghapon!
“After watching a few snippets of the Senate hearing on fake news and reading the comments section, hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit andaming blind followers. I believe that truly be a supporter of change and progress for our country, hindi dapat ang TAO or ang LEADER ang suportahan kundi ang ACTIONS ng tao, his/her PLATFORM, his/her PRINCIPLES and the POLICIES na pinapatupad niya.
On that note, just because I support our president DOES NOT mean I agree with everything he does nor will I defend him when I think he’s doing something wrong. Most of all, I will not publish opinions or share fake news about the opposition just to make the president look better in the eyes of a few. In fact, if I had a chance to talk to him I’d probably say it to his face na, in my opinion, mali ka sa ganito or ganyan.
Magiging blind follower ka talaga and a purveyor of fake news if you keep defending and making excuses for acts which are obviously wrong but are done by the certain person or political party you support. As Filipinos, let’s be smarter than that and let’s not forget to use our sense of discernment. We are an intelligent race (minsan, tamad lang mag-isip), and we have proven that time and time again.
Finally, let’s remember that being a blind follower breeds corruption and abuse by our government officials. At the end of the day, its not about yellows or reds or whatever color, it’s about keeping tabs on the people we have placed in power.”
