Tinanong din nila ang timing ng kanyang resignation, which ginawa nya sa gitna ng trahedya na nangyari sa kanyang mga constituents sa Davao when the city suffered flooding due to typhoon Vinta and fire incident that killed about 37 people (who were unfortunately tagged by the critics as Pre. Duterte’s trolls and online warriors).
“And if he truly cared about his people, he would not leave them behind amidst the tragedy that is happening with their lives. It seems to me that he cares more about himself than his people who are going through such a hard time right now with the recent fire incident, the storm that hit their city and the most recent earthquake with a 5.2 magnitude.”
A DRAMATIC ACT!
“MAGALING MAGDRAMA AT UMARTE ANG DUTERTE FAMILY PAG GUMILING NA ANG CAMERA AT SA HARAP NG MEDIA, KAYA HINDI TULOY NATIN ALAM KUNG KAILAN SILA NAGSASABI NG TOTOO O NAGSISINUNGALING LANG.”

Last December 23, 2017 nagkaroon ng sunog sa NCCC mall sa Davao right after a storm hit Davao and caused flooding in some parts of the city. Besides the grocery at the ground floor of the mall and the business outsourcing company at the top floor, other parts of the mall were still closed when the fire started mid morning.
Firefighters were unable to save the lives of 37 people trapped on the fourth floor due to the immense heat and thick smoke. Most of their bodies were found near the stairwell on the fourth floor where the call center agency Survey Sampling International (SSI) was located.
Ito pong 37 people na ito ay call center agents ng SSI, which was also rumored to be the people who worked as Duterte’s trolls and “online warriors.” According to old employees (who used different names to protect themselves), ang ginagawa daw nila sa agency ng SSI ay maging taga suporta at tagapagtanggol kay Duterte sa social media. But this is only a rumor and has yet to be verified.
Months before this incident, nabalitaan ko din na gusto na palang ipademolish ang NCCC mall na ito at papalitan nila ng mas magandang mall. So is it a coincidence na biglang nasunog ito? Was the fire an accident or was it done on purpose?
And why did it take two days before the agency these people worked for was announced to the public?
For security reasons?
A fire permit should be issued by a mayor and with this case Davao city Mayor Sarah Duterte should be held liable sa issue ng permit. Pero bakkt hindi man lang naquestion si Sarah about the permit? Dahil ba Duterte sya? Does being a “Duterte” give you a free pass from the legalities of the law?
Hindi ba’t nakakapagtaka rin ang biglang pagbitaw sa posisyon last December 25, two days after the NCCC fire, ng Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte na dati na ring nasangkot sa P6.4B shabu shipment at sa “Davao Group”?
He said that he resigned because of “delicadeza”, but I would like to think otherwise. He would not step down just because of a silly squabble between him and his daughter, or the “maligning of his name” with the P6.4B Shabu shipment. If he truly is innocent and has nothing to do with the P6.4B shabu shipment, he would not be bothered about his name being maligned if he himself knows that he is innocent, right?
Even before the P6.4B shabu shipment, he was already involved in many issues (like interceding with drug lord Charlie Tan in “arbor” incident, the smuggling of SUVS, luxury cars, rice, sugar and ukay ukay into Davao) which his wife was never mentioned in. So why is she to blame?
And if he truly cared about his people, he would not leave them behind amidst the tragedy that is happening with their lives. It seems to me that he cares more about himself than his people who are going through such a hard time right now with the recent fire incident, the storm that hit their city and the most recent earthquake with a 5.2 magnitude.
During this time mag reresign ka? Delicadeza for yourself but no delicadeza for your people which should be your priority as a government official? Wake up Polong!
Hindi ba’t Presidente sya ng buong Pilipinas, so his priority shouldn’t only be in Davao, right? Why didn’t he visit those affected by Bagyong Urduja and Vinta?
Is ex-Vice Mayor Paolo afraid of what the people might find out once the current investigation of the NCCC fire comes out? Or did he resign because he wanted to escape the legalities of the fire incident and his current issues regarding the shabu shipment?
According to SECTION 82 of the Local Government Code, the President has the sole authority to accept Paulo’s resignation because Davao is a highly urbanized city. This resignation letter, with action taken by the President, should be submitted to DILG. If the President doesn’t act upon the resignation within 15 working days, the resignation is accepted.
But where are the copies of the signed resignation letter? And this resignation was also not stated as an irrevocable resignation (which means that it cannot be revoked by any party) so the President can deny the resignation and put him back into office. Therefore his resignation is invalid.
Mukhang ang resignation na ito ay isang plot lamang to move the public’s eye away from his illegal businesses.
Regarding Paulo’s resignation due to “delicadeza”, the first thing Duterte should do is to accept it formally through a letter and sign it.
Did Duterte even receive the resignation letter? Pinirmahan na ba nya? Let’s be educated people and technical here. Let’s follow the standard operating procedure.
Duterte, receive the resignation letter of Polong and sign it so we can declare already the seat of Polong vacant so that we can let another person take over his position at para matulungan ng bagong Vice Mayor ang mga tao ng Davao na nangangailangan ng tulong nila.
But if you won’t sign it, isa na naman itong palabas nyong magpamilya. We’ve had enough of your drama.
If Paolo really is sincere about his resignation, he would’ve made his resignation irrevocable. Without the “irrevocable” word inside his letter, the resignation of Polong is just a theatrical act and that makes him still the Vice Mayor of Davao.
Don’t beat around the bush, Paolo, stop the drama about your resignation. Go back to the Senate and answer our questions regarding the P6.4B shabu, Charlie Tan, the Red Dragon Triad and your tattoo. Patunayan mo sa amin na walang tattoo sa kaliwang balikat mo na may dragon na may small feet at may letter V with flowers around it.
Now kung wala yan, then fine. Go and live your life. Pero kung mananahimik ka lang regarding these issues, your silence will prove your guilt.
FYI, to make Polong’s resignation legal and valid, he should submit his letter of resignation to the President for approval and endorsement of the resignation letter by the President to the DILG for approval ang declaration of the vacancy of the Vice Mayority position of the city of Davao.
If this process is not followed, Polong Duterte will still be the Vice Mayor of Davao which makes his resignation letter invalid and useless.
